Warm fuzzies - Age 4+
Teaching kids kindness towards everyone should be an everyday lesson. Try challenging your school age child to say something nice about each child in their class. This can be tricky because they don't necessarily play with each child, but that is why it is a worthwhile challenge.
Discuss with them what they might appreciate about each child's uniqueness or what they bring to the table that no other child does (she helps tie my shoe laces or he always helps me clean up). If you feel like going even further, have your child make cards for their friends saying, "Thank you for . . . ". Receiving a random card saying thank you is bound to give people warm fuzzy feelings.
