Invitation to make marks - Age 1+

Giving little ones a chance to write, draw and scribble is an important part of their development. 'Mark making' or scribbling can be presented to children as an invitation, left out for them to explore. Try setting up Postman Bear with envelopes, blank paper and crayons. See what they create?

Letter writing role play - Age 4+

Older kids who enjoy writing may want to send their own letters to the characters. Ask them to be Bear and see who they will invite to their party. Will they deliver letters to each bedroom in the house? Or maybe to each stuffed animal on their bed? Parents and siblings can join in as other characters and after receiving your invitation, celebrate Bear's birthday together!
